The Environmental Management Training Service Corporation (EMTSC) provides training in the environmental management industry. Our Center of Excellence in Environmental Management Services (CEEMS) coordinates the training and apprenticeship opportunities in the environmental management industry.
The mission of the Environmental Management Training Services Center is to provide opportunities through training in pest management, entrepreneurship and other 21st Century skills demanded by the transforming environmental management industry.
Our goal is to provide skills for individuals to become productive citizens and spur empowerment of communities through training opportunities. We believe that the environmental management industry which includes pest management, janitorial, landscaping and healthy homes, combined with entrepreneurial skills can provide new beginnings and opportunities to develop "shared values" in businesses bottom lines. The concept of shared value is defined as policies and operating practices that enhance the competitiveness of a company while simultaneously advancing the economic and social conditions in the communities in which it operates.
Our cutting edge environmental management services education and training tracks will be intertwined with social entrepreneurial skills ensuring our trainees will have every opportunity to become viable small business owner and operator that impacts the community they serve.
The growth in green technologies combined with the growth in need for training programs with short training periods and a low capital-intensive requirement is why EMTSC is needed. EMTSC can quickly train an individual in a new desirable “green” skills effectively with entrepreneurial opportunities that require very little start up capital. The social entrepreneurial aspect is the transformative piece that can directly empower a community through the services that the business provides. The trainees would be provided an opportunity to become an asset to their family and empower the community through having the knowledge about reducing and mitigating toxins that directly over disproportionately impact underserved populations. Also, the entrepreneurial opportunities in these fields would increase the financial stability of the community by keeping financial resources within these communities longer therefore creating shared value between the community and businesses that it serves.
We are currently offering training courses and seminar in various aspects of pest management. As in all professional fields, continuing education opportunies are required. We provide continuing education credits to fulfill PA, MD, NJ, VA, NY and DE pesticide applicator licensing requirements.
Please check back frequently as we add more training opportunities in other areas of the environmental management industry.
